I genuinely feel sorry for the Director James Nguyen because based on his comments he seemed 100% committed to making a great film with important environmental messages.

This movie definitely falls into the "So bad it's good" category and I highly recommend watching with a few movie buddies with a LOT of drinks. Think Troll 2 but funnier.
The audio will have you in stitches amongst many other things. From start to finish this movie is absolute gold. Cutting edge special effects help drive home the important message Nguyen is trying to convey.
Macca introduced me to this one and I'm so glad he did. We keep it for the 2am "should we watch another one?" moment on a movie night to liven up the atmosphere a bit.
I think there is a bright future in store for the entire Birdemic team, epecially Alan Bagh the lead char. God damn look at his IMDB pic - it just makes it all the more funnier. I've not seen an actor who even made walking look awkward. Touche my friend, touche.

This almost deserves its own genre completely.
ReplyDelete- The quality is like a poor home movie.
- The sound quality is awful. Regular drop outs, wind interference, inaudible line delivery is par for the course.
- The editing is non existant, regularly going 5-10 seconds after the actors have stopped acting.
- The acting is laughable (except for Whitney Moore). Alan Bagh who plays the main character, acts like hes from an animated cut scene from a late 90s playstation game.
- The special effects can only be described as Windows 95 clipart.
BUT...despite the fact this is clearly the worst movie of all time, its also probably the funniest. Unintentional for sure, but you cant help but laugh every 30 seconds at something going on. Its no wonder this has a massive cult following in mid-night screenings across America.
Watch with a friend, watch while drunk, watch while depressed. This will cure anything. 0.1/10
